Christmas notecard stepped up – Classic Cloche bundle

Hi there, I have a stepped up Christmas notecard using the Classic Cloche bundle to share in today’s post. Happy Sunday everyone!

I recently shared how to make quick, easy Christmas cards using the notecards and envelops Stampin’ Up! supplies. This is a stepped up version. If you missed this post, you can see it HERE with a free video tutorial on how to stamp multiples using the Stamparatus.

Additional supplies

Size doesn’t matter. Even though these are notecards, you can still give it the “all star” treatment. So, I embossed the Soft Sea foam mat layer with the Wintry 3D embossing folder. These come in a pair.

When I made my embossing sandwich I wondered why it wouldn’t go through the machine. I should’ve realized, the clue was in the description – 3D!!! Mistakenly, I thought that the folder was a standard one and I was using Platform 1 and a pair of platform 3s! Eventually I realized that it was the grey Platform 4 I needed. You should never force the sandwich through your die cutting machine, if it refuses to budge, chances are that you’ve got the incorrect “sandwich”. Duh!

Cloche base

You can’t have a cloche without a stand. Rectangular dies are in the set, one plain, and the other with some detail to adhere on top of the plain one. I die cut a cork strip which was overlaid with the detailed die cut in Smoky Slate.

Adhesive sheets are my best friend. I always adhere this to the back of the card stock I’m using to die cut anything intricate.

Finishing touches

I used the metallic pearls to adhere to the centre of the snowflakes. Lastly I tied a bow with the Simply Elegant trim. It comes in a pack of two, one spool in gold and the other in silver with a combined length of 10 yds (9.1 cm).

Thanks for visiting. Have a great weekend!

Stampin’ hugs!
