Gift card holder with Pillow box die
Did you know you can make a Gift card holder with the Pillow box die? I love thinking outside the box and am thrilled with how this turned out. In today’s project, I have made it using Christmas materials. You can use this as a prototype to use throughout the year for other occasions, not just for Christmas.
I wanted to make it so that the pillow box would stand up independently. The width of the credit size gift card was barely small enough to fit within the width of the pillow box, so you have to be gentle with it during “construction”.
In order for the gift card to remain concealed once in the closed position, I had to add a piece of card stock at the bottom as a bridge for the two halves. It’s better explained in the video tutorial below.
The papers are from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ DSP stack. To coordinate with the patterned paper I used Real Red and Granny Apple Green inks for stamping with.
