Spotlight technique card – In the moment

Spotlight technique card with “In the Moment” stamp set. In today’s post, I wanted something simple with a “wow” factor. I haven’t used this technique for such a long time and had forgotten how quick, effective and easy it was to create!

If you’re not a fan of colouring, you can opt for a paper piecing technique in lieu. To be honest, these images are small, and it didn’t take long to colour at all. Especially true if you’re using alcohol markers like Stampin’ Up!’s Blending markers.

The images in this stamp set are similar to “A Good Man” and I think they are adorable. Watch out for more projects using this set.

To add interest to the mat layer I die cut Bermuda Bay card stock left edge with the Basic Borders Dies. Then I cut 1/4″ (0.5 cm) border on the 3 sides and 1/2″ (approximately 1.5 cm) on the zig zag border side to create a frame. I stamped the image and sentiment on Basic White 3-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ then trimmed it to fit the Bermuda Bay layer after the zig zag border had been cut.

Watch the video tutorial to see how it all came together.
