Ombre lettering with Amazing Thanks dies – combining two of my most favourite items in the January to June Mini! Hello and Happy Sunday!
I cannot keep my hands off those amazing New Horizons patterned papers! I keep going back to them! My latest favourite are these shadow dies and the accent dies in a thinner profile. There is a stamp set called Amazing Silhouettes which I featured in an earlier post which you can see HERE.
Ombre lettering
I die cut the shadow words in Polished Pink card stock and the outlines in Basic White. Then I took three stampin’ blend colours to compliment the New Horizons DSP for colouring the letters.
To keep the letters in a straight line, I butted them up against the ruler vertically and coloured the top edge in So Saffron. Then I used a piece of copy paper to mask the So Saffron section, and coloured the middle in light Calypso Coral. I removed the ruler, repositioned the copy paper and held the words down firmly and coloured in the bottom third in the dark Calypso Coral to complete the ombre effect.
I loved how it turned out! Do you?
Simply stamped
The card seemed a bit bare with only the lettering, so I simply stamped the trees and birds from the On the Horizon stamp set. This card came together so quickly!
I added a Polished Pink mat layer and used the Polished Dots as a finishing touch.
