Today I’m using the Memories & More cards from the Heart & Home suite collection for my project. This is part 2 of exploring Heart & Home Suite. I’m focusing on the pre-printed Heart & Home Memories & More cards and envelops. It has one of my favourite colours – blue called Misty Moonlight and this muted blue is lovely. There are 20 cards in the pack, 10 in the Misty Moonlight colour and 10 in a Smoky Slate wood grain pattern in two sizes.
The larger cards, when folded, measures 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ ((15.9 cm x 10.8 cm) and the smaller cards measure 4-1/4″ 3-1/4″ (10.8 cm x 8.3 cm). Of course, not forgetting that there are envelops to match!
Large card
I die cut a stitched scallop frame from the Scalloped Contours die set in Misty Moonlight as my mat layer. The new Vellum 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Layering Designs are fabulous and provided a beautiful backdrop for the floral image, bee and greeting.
This time I used the other bundle called Honeybee Home with the Honeybee Blooms dies for stamping and die cutting my images. The mixture of fonts in this set is lovely.
Smaller card
For the smaller Memories & More card I added a mat layer in Pale Papaya. It was embossed with the Stripes 3D embossing folder. The Heart & Home DSP is the same pattern as the one on the envelop. I only used a small strip so I could make the paper l go further.
The smaller floral was stamped, coloured in Mint Macaron, Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral and then die cut. I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider and fussy cut “Miss You”. As the card is small, I didn’t want the words to over power the card.
