I know our natural instinct whenever a bee gets anywhere near, you want to bat them away, or horror of horrors… squish them!
Did you know that some species of bees have been place on the endangered list? They are really important as pollinators in our ecosystem, and they make yummy honey! These days, there are glasses or mugs with a screw top lid with a hole for the straw, and if you keep your cakes and anything sweet covered when you’re out for a picnic, there will be less risk of attracting bees/wasps.
Beeswax is also used in skin care products for example lip balm and I’ve made a cute little bag to hold a Burts Bees Honey lip balm with a card to match.
