Dry embossed background card – Country Flowers. Today’s project is another card using the Country Flowers bundle. I’ve used the Eyelet 3D embossing folder to create a dry embossed background for the card in lieu of using pretty patterned paper. I love it when you use tone on tone card stock.
The Spotlight on Nature dies came into play again. I used this petal-like border pattern which is similar to the Eyelet 3D embossing folder pattern. The plant tub on the stool was cut out of the Country Woods 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Paper and I stamped a pattern on it.
All the images were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I coloured the images with Summer Splash, Petal Pink, Pool Party and Calypso Coral Blending combos alcohol markers.
Inside card
The same floral image was stamped inside in the bottom right corner and coloured in the same palette.
Cutting guide
- Card base Pool Party : 4 ⅛” x 8 ¼” (10.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half
- Pool Party mat layer for embossing : 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
- Die cut largest petal-like border Spotlight on Nature die in Basic Beige
- Basic White scrap to stamp, die cut and colour the stool, tubs, flora and fauna
- Inside card Basic White : 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
