Altering cards series – Garden of Thanks

Altering cards series – Garden of Thanks. Welcome to the first in the series on how to alter cards and make your supplies go further. This is the first card in the kit and as you can see, the front and back have a kind of hashed pattern on it when you open the whole card up.

I shared the allocated laser cut and elements between the two altered cards. The card below is the original design in the kit.

How to alter kit card #2

Card 1

1. Card base : Bubble Bath ½ A4 sheet folded in half. In Ireland/UK/Europe this measures 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm)
2. Cut the Kit card #2 in half so that it measures 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
3. Bubble Bath layer 3 ⅞” x 2 ½” (9.8 cm 6.4 cm)
4. Take the floral element for Kit card #2 and cut in two. Adhere one half the Bubble Bath layer as pictured.
5. Stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink directly on to Bubble Bath strip and add a sequin.
6. Inside the card : Basic White cut at 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm).
7. Stamp the floral stamp with Bubble Bath and Misty Moonlight as shown below.

Card 2

1. Card base : Bubble Bath ½ A4 sheet folded in half. In Ireland/UK/Europe this measures 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm)
2. Trim the other half of Kit card #2 so that it measures 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
3. Adhere remaining floral laser cut in the top left as pictured below.
4. Stamp sentiment on laser cut label and adhere with dimensionals.
5. Adhere the sequins
6. Tie a bow and adhere to card with glue dots.
7. Inside card : Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
8. Cut Bubble Bath strip 3 ⅞” x 2″ and stamp with floral stamp in Bubble Bath ink.
