Sentimental Christmas – Christmas Series. This is week 2 of 12 in my Christmas countdown and I’m featuring the Sentimental Christmas Suite which you can find on pages 28-29 in the September-December 2024 Mini. The papers evokes a throwback to Christmas past, hence the moniker “Sentimental Christmas”. The Sentimental Wishes Bundle is one of the smaller bundles and the dies come in a 5 ¼” x 3 ¾” (14.6 cm x 9.5 cm) pack.
Use the patterned papers to make your cards
Don’t be afraid to cut up the paper – if you love them so will the recipient. You can always make one to keep yourself. There is a sheet of DSP that the stocking and bow dies will fit. On the reverse side are candy cane, berries and pines on all four borders. The papers have been designed so that it will be suitable to use as a scrapbook page layout. There are two 12″x 12″ pieces of each design so you can use one sheet for card making and the other sheet can be left whole for scrapbooking.
Extras
Use whatever dies you have in your stash – I used Stylish Shapes dies for the stocking card, but added something new with the Christmas Labels bundle in the new September-December 2024 Mini Catalogue under Bundles on page 40 for the candy cane cards.
These are the cards I made just by using the papers. I cut the border at 3 ⅝” x 5 ⅜” (9.2 cm x 13.7 cm) on the Candy Cane side to make two cards, one in Basic Beige landscape (middle) and the other in Poppy Parade portrait (on the right). Then from the centre I could die cut the stocking and bow (picture on left.

Lantern design – Sentimental Wishes 12 x 12 DSP
Another sheet which was suitable as a scrapbook page layout is this lantern one. The reverse side are clusters of candles on a Pretty Peacock background. I trimmed this to fit on a Basic Beige standard card with a Pretty Peacock mat layer. From the inside of this mat layer, I stamped a greeting from the Peaceful Season bundle which is in the Season of Elegance Suite on pages 22-25. So there are several choices you have.
