3D Gift packaging Halloween – Wk 3. This week we’re creating some gift packaging for Halloween goodies. How to create the 3D Halloween gift packaging
Create the box
- Cut a Basic Black strip 7″ x 3 ⅛” (18 cm x 8 cm)
- On the long side score at 1 ¼”, 3 ¼”, 4 ½” and 6 ½” (3 cm, 8 cm, 11 cm and 16 cm)
- Orient care stock so short side is at the top and score at 1 ¼” (3 cm)
- With the narrowest tab on your left, cut either side of each score line up to the horizontal score line.
- Burnish the folds and snip off the remnants of card stock between each score line.
- Apply adhesive to narrow flap to join the sides of the box.
- On box base, fold in opposite ends of the narrower toward centre of box.
- Apply adhesive, and bring the opposite long pieces on top of the narrow pieces to complete assembly of the box.
Die cut the elements to adhere to the box base
- Next die cut 2 pieces of the cauldron in Basic Black to attach to box base.
- Die cut 2 cauldron drip pieces from Berry Burst, Old Olive & White 12 x 12 Glimmer Specialty paper and the potions inside the bottle as shown. Also die cut 2 pieces of the inside potion out of same Specialty glimmer paper.
- Pumpkin Pie scrap, die cut tall bottle and inside potion of round bottle.
- Die cut a round base bottle in Daffodil Delight.
- Adhere the respective pieces on to the cauldron and bottles then adhere the bottles to the cauldron.
- Stamp the sparkle elements randomly on front and back of cauldron pieces in Versamark ink. Sprinkle with Wow Metallics embossing powder and heat set.
- Glue various elements to cauldron pieces as shown in pic.
Cello bag with sweets and tag
- Cut the top off the Clear Medium Envelops. Fill it with desired treats.
- Stamp “Happy Halloween” on Pumpkin Pie scrap in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Optional to use other stamps to decorate label.
- Place long narrow flag tail label die from online exclusive “Greeting of the Season” dies over the greeting and die cut.
- Thread Black Bakers twine through hole in tag and attach to cello bag with sweets with a bow.
- Place contents in open top cauldron box to complete project.
