Something special – an Easter card in a box! Happy Easter everyone!
This year, it almost passed me by had it not been for the fact that as a blogger and YouTuber, you have to keep a little ahead of the game and I realised that my lead in time to Easter projects and videos were little more than 2 weeks ahead which all had to be completed before my trip to Amsterdam to meet with my Stampin’ Up! sisters for OnStage Live!
I’m revisiting this “card in a box” technique which I adapted to get 2 cards out of an A4 sheet which you can see here. I’d made square ones before, and was experimenting with a different shape and made a rectangular one way back in April 2014! Back then, there was no HD, and I was a fledgling YouTuber, and it was all done with a taped cassette! So much has changed in the space of 3 years!
Viewed from the front, I added a basket of daffodils and a bunny and some easter eggs.
View from the top, I adhered the front layer of grass (needed 2 die cuts for the front, and another 2 for the “bridge”). The one in front was adhered 1/2″ lower than the back one. The bunnies were staggered and working in threes, as it’s more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
I stamped and punched the greeting from the Little Cuties stamp set using a 1″ circle punch. The Calypso Coral circle was punched out with a 1 1/4″ circle punch.
The card folds flat for mailing in a normal standard C6 envelope.
On the back, I incorporated a Whisper White panel for writing on.
