Fun Friday – French or Box Pleat?

This week’s Fun Friday features some pleating, I’ve called it French pleating, but it could also be box pleating, but whatever name it goes by – here’s how I did it with a 12″ x 12″ (30.5 cm x 30.5 cm) piece of DSP (Designer series paper).   I taught this in my December class this month at card club.

The scoring measurements are as follows:

Long side on top (10″) score at 1″, 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″, 3″, 4″, 4-1/2″, 5-1/2″, 6″, 7″, 7-1/2″, 8-1/2″, 9″.

Metric in cm – 2.5, 3.8, 6.35, 7.6, 10.2, 11.4, 14, 15.2, 17.8, 19.1, 21.6, 22.9 cm

Below are the basic supplies you need to get started.
