Self-closing Easter bag

Self-closing Easter bag. Behind the scenes, I’ve been de-cluttering and you never know what comes to light. Forgotten projects, swaps from previous events etc. I unearthed a mini box given to me with a mint tea bag inside at On Stage in Brussels way back in 2015! Needless to say, I wasn’t going to brew the tea after all these years! I took it apart to see how it had been made and have tweaked the measurements to make it my own.

Cutting tabs, scoring diagonally, adhering DSP

  • Cut and discard the small rectangles on ⅜”(1 cm) tab.
  • On the bottom 1″(2.5 cm) score line – Make a slight “V” shaped cut on either side of the vertical score lines up to the first score line as pictured by solid white lines.

Flip the pattern on the reverse side to glue on the two sides as shown.
  • Insert something solid into bag eg, the bottom of Tombow glue dispenser and adhere opposite flaps ensuring a square shape.
  • Apply adhesive to remaining pair of flaps and adhere together to seal box.
  • Lastly stamp “Enjoy” on Bubble Bath card stock and die cut with Tags to Go dies.
  • Adhere with dimensional on front of box.
  • Attach ribbon with glue dots.
