Hello card – All Zipped Up. The All Zipped Up bundle comprises a stamp set and coordinating dies. In the die set, there are components to make a faux zipper for card fronts. The sentiments and images in the stamp set are suitable all year round. They’re quite generic with hearts, polka dots and stars and even a flower.
Just by switching the patterned paper for the front of the card, you can make it for any gender. In this sample I used a floral paper, but if you switched to a plaid, striped paper with more sombre colours, it would be suitable for the men/boys or for any sports or T-shirt.
Cutting guide
- Card base : Blueberry Bushel 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) ane fold in half.
- Cut 1 piece DSP and 1 in Fresh Freesia 3 ¾” x 5 ½” (9.5 cm x 14 cm)
- Petal Pink for the neckline : 1″ x 3 ½” (2.5 cm x 9 cm)
- Basic White layer inside card : 3 ⅝” x 5 ¼” (9 cm x 13.5 cm)
- Silver foil 2″ x 6″ (5 cm x 15.2 cm) for zips
- Blueberry Bushel scrap 2″ x 6 ½” (5 cm x 6.5 cm)
How to use the dies
- Position Y-shape zip die centred at the top of DSP layer and die cut opening.
- Silver foil Zip – this has to be done in two stages. First cut with Y-shape zip die. Next position straight zip die over previous die cut (pictured above) and run through machine again.
- Next die cut a pair of decorative zip trims with Blueberry Bushel card stock.
- Attach Y-shape zip to DSP shirt opening ensuring that the die cuts on both shirt and silver foil zip match.
- Adhere Blueberry Bushel trim on top of silver foil zip as pictured above on the right.
- Take the “To the point” label punch and punch out a neck line with Fresh Freesia card stock.
Finishing touches
- Adhere Petal Pink strip to back of neckline. Stack the layers together and ensure they’re straight and aligned at the top and adhere to card base.
- Die cut two pockets with Fresh Freesia and adhere as shown.
- Attach 2024-26 In Color Shimmer gems to each pocket
- Stamp the greeting on a strip of Basic White, I concertina folded it and stamped the floral stamp with Fresh Freesia Ink. Glue one end inside the pocket and poke a hole on the end through which you can thread a length of Bakers Twine.
- Stamp your desired greeting and stamp floral elements in Fresh Freesia for added interest.
