Design Tricks – Totally Trees

New from the Autumn/Winter catalog – a stamp set called Totally Trees and I made these as my “Thank You” cards for August.  With some simple stamping you can make your own “Designer Paper” and en trend now is also copper – lots of it and you can make a little go a long way.

I also used the Pretty Pines thinlit dies to cut out some foliage – at the moment these dies have been bundled with the Christmas Pines photopolymer stamp set, so yes, the bow is also a die!

The photo below shows the inside.

With making so many cards, I pre-cut a stash of cardfronts, but sometimes it’s just a little too small – so here’s a trick – tack on a strip of paper at the bottom, in this case it was a strip of copper foil.  As there are only two 12″ x 12″ sheets in a pack, it’s good to be frugal with it where a little gives you just the same impact!  I did the same with the front of my card to add extra texture. I hope they liked it!
