Christmas in July

Christmas in July. In the world of card making, it is quite normal to prep for Christmas in July. Consequently, Stampin’ Up! often releases Christmas products in July and this year is no different. Say “hello” to the Jolly Holly Hybrid embossing folder. There is a photopolymer stamp set also called Jolly Holly to accompany it. You can purchase it together as a bundle to save 10%.

Additional supplies

For my card today, I used the Textured Striped Mix & Match cards & Envelopes pack. There are 10 in a pack, 5 each of Misty Moonlight and Real Red. Folded size 4 ¼” x 6 ¼” (10.8 x 15.9 cm).

How to make card

Card front

1. Cut Soft Sea Foam layer for front of card 6″ x 4″ (15.2 cm x 10.2 cm). Place in Jolly Holly Hybrid embossing folder with die and cut and emboss as pictured. Apply adhesive along the edges and adhere to card front leaving an even border all round.
2. Real Red card stock – die cut label with smaller rectangular die. Use embossing buddy over rectangular surface and stamp “joy” with versamark ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set.
3. Lift the leaves and attach dimensionals to back of label and adhere to card front as pictured. Finish with a trio of Rhinestone basic jewels.

Inside card

1. Cut Real Red mat layer at 6″ x 4″ (15.2 cm x 10.2 cm) and adhere to inside of card.
2. Basic White mat layer cut at 5 ⅞” x 3 ⅞” (14.9 cm x 9.8 cm) and adhere on top of Real Red mat layer.
3. Stamp greeting in Real Red and the holly leaf in Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
4. Colour holly leaf with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends combo and the berries in Real Red.
