An autumnal card – Artistic Leaves

An autumnal card – Artistic Leaves. With the recent heat wave, it seems too early to think about an autumn card. I’m using one of the new online exclusives called Artistic Leaves released in July. Also the lovely papers called Woven Textures 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Papers from the Botanical Textures Suite Collection. Both are online exclusives, the latter was release in March 2025.

  2. Strip of Timid Tiger 1 ½” x 5 ¾” (4 cm x 14.5 cm) emboss with Birch Wood 3D embossing folder. Use blending brush to highlight raised edges with Early Espresso ink.

  5. Mat layer #2 inside card : Basic White 5 ⅜” x 3 ¾” (13.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
  6. Scraps of Basic White for stamping leaves
  7. Early Espresso Scrap for gold embossing sentiment

Stamping leaves

The Artistic Leaves is a two-step stamp set. One stamp has more linear details which you stamp in a darker colour and the second stamp is a solid one which you stamp over the top with a lighter colour ink to complete the image.

  1. Cajun Craze ink – first stamp 2 detailed maple leaves on basic white card stock.
  2. Timid Tiger ink – align solid stamp image over the top of stamped detailed leaves to complete image then fussy cut both leaving a narrow white border around the leaf contour and set aside.
  3. Garden Green ink – stamp 3 detailed small leaves in first generation Garden Green ink on Basic White card stock.
  4. Stamp 3rd (stamp off twice) generation Garden Green ink with solid image over the detailed small leaves then fussy cut and set aside.
