Landscape autumnal card

Landscape autumnal card. The Autumn Toile suite is beautiful. I am using the Amber Autumn bundle part of the suite to create today’s card. It was a great opportunity to use Very Vanilla, because the background of this paper is Very Vanilla too.

Today’s card’s inspiration was from the sample in the mini catalogue, but I’ve tweaked it to make it my own. Die cutting the circles out of the Autumn Toile 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Papers creates the autumnal scene. I also used the Earthen Toned Metallic 12″x 12″ Specialty Paper to die cut the sprig. You need to look hard – it’s on the right of the smaller circle.

Cutting guide

1. Very Vanilla card base : 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm) folded in half.
2. Very Vanilla card stock: cut 2 pieces 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm). Embossed 1 piece and reserve remaining piece for inside of card.
3. Stylish Shapes Dies : Largest circle die – cut Mossy Meadow scene. Second largest circle die – cut Amber scene.
4. Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty paper : die cut sprig.
5. Cut thin strip of DSP ¼”x 3 ¼”(0.5 cm x 8 cm) and tear ends for card front, and same pattern for inside mat layer.
6. Cajun Craze ½” x 3 ½” (1.3 cm x 7.5 cm) tear ends toward you.

Assembly

Card front

1. Emboss the Very Vanilla layer with Gathering Leaves 3D Embossing Folder. Distress all 4 sides with edge of scissors and use blending brush with Cajun Craze ink.
2. Adhere smaller Cajun Craze coloured DSP to right of embossed layer first followed by larger Mossy Meadow circle as pictured.
3. Next adhere copper sprig on right.
4. Stamp sentiment with Cajun Craze ink on Gray Ganite card stock and fussy cut words.
5. Adhere strip of narrow DSP strip and Cajun Craze strip with torn edges then adhere words as shown.

Inside card

1. Adhere DSP strip to left of Very Vanilla mat layer.
2. Stamp acorn image with Cajun Craze ink on scrap of Very Vanilla and die cut then adhere as shown.
