Money gift wallet – Delicate Pines. This is week 10 of 12 in my Christmas Countdown Series and it’s time to move away from making Christmas cards.

Money Gift Wallet

You can make 2 money gift wallets out of one A4 sheet by simply cutting it in half. I used punches to attach to a belly band as a closure and the Delicate Pines stamp set.

Cutting guide

1. Half an A4 sheet [approx 5 ⅞” x 8 ¼” (14.9 cm x 21 cm)]
2. Long side score at 3 ½” and 7″ (9 cm and 17.8 cm)
3. Garden Green : 1 cut at 3 ⅜” x 5 ¾” (8.5 cm x 14.5 cm) for front of wallet
4. Inside pocket Garden Green – 1 cut at 1 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (2.9 cm x 14.5 cm)
5. Elegant Pine 12 x 12 DSP : 1 piece for front of wallet cut at 3 ¼” x 5 ⅝” (8.2 cm x 14.3 cm)
6. Inside pocket Elegant Pine DSP layer : 1″ x 5 ⅝” (2.5 cm x 14.3 cm)
7. Inside gift wallet : Basic White 5 ½” x 5 ¾” (14 cm x 14.5 cm) cut in one piece for stamping a continuous pattern. It will be cut into 2 pieces for the top, and one for the bottom part of the gift wallet afterwards.

Cutting guide belly band

1. Cherry Cobbler 1″ x A4 length (2.5 cm x A4 length)
2. Punch out 2 ⅜” circle in Cherry Cobbler
3. Garden Green – punch out 2 ¼”circle
4. Basic White – punch out 2″ circle

Assembly

Front of wallet

1. Burnish all score lines. Orient narrow panel at the bottom. This will be the pocket to hold the money and fold wider panel down to close wallet.
2. Adhere Elegant Pine 3 ¼” x 5 ⅝” (8.2 cm x 14.3 cm) DSP to the Garden Green 3 ⅜” x 5 ¾” (8.5 cm x 14.5 cm) piece then adhere to front of wallet.
3. Open wallet then adhere the Elegant Pine 1″ x 5 ⅝” (2.5 cm x 14.3 cm) piece to Garden Green 1 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (2.9 cm x 14.5 cm) piece to the pocket. Run a thin line of glue one either side and adhere to wallet base to seal pocket.

Inside gift wallet

1. Basic White 5 ½” x 5 ¾” (14 cm x 14.5 cm). Mark 2 ⅛” (5.4 cm) in on 5 ½” (14 cm) side and draw a faint pencil line on the large Basic White piece. This will give you a guide for where to place your stamped images.
2. Stamp largest pine flake Garden Green ink and a variety of pine flakes in second generation i.e., stamping off before stamping on the project for a lighter shade.
3. Trim along 2 ⅛” (5.4 cm) and then glue larger piece on the inside top of wallet, and the smaller piece above the pocket on the lower half of wallet.
4. Lastly stamp a christmas greeting in Cherry Cobbler ink at the top panel as shown.

Creating the belly band

1. Wrap Cherry Cobbler 1″ x A4 (2.5 cm x A4 length) around wallet when closed. Ensure that it isn’t too tight so it can move freely. Trim off an excess. Adhere closed at the front.
2. Apply adhesive vertically in middle of Cherry Cobbler circle, insert underneath belly band and adhere it.
3. On the Garden Green circle, apply adhesive all over then sandwich belly band between Cherry Cobbler circle and Garden Green circle leaving an even border all round.
4. Stamp on the Basic White circle with Delicate Pines stamp as shown and add Faceted snowflakes as finishing touch. You can put the Recipient’s name in the blank space.
