Card ideas – 12 Days Crafting Advent. Happy Boxing Day! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and Santa granted all your wishes!

If you purchased or was gifted the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar, by now you would’ve opened and revealed the contents within. Were you disciplined enough to open one window at a time, or did you open it all at once? I’m afraid I failed at the first hurdle because I needed to know what I had to work with. It would have been a different scenario had it been something edible. I would’ve been far more disciplined with chocolate!

12 Day of Crafting Advent Calendar Stamp set

The wonderful thing about the stamp set that coordinates with the Advent Calendar is that it is generic and not just for Christmas so you can use it all year round. Depending on what colour ink you use to stamp with, the floral images can resemble any flower. If stamped in red, it would resemble a Pointsettia and therefore more in keeping with Christmas. The stamp set also has a cup-cake and butterfly image.

So here are 2 cards using different sets of 3″x 4″ (7.6 cm x 10.2 cm) Memories & More cards and their respective pre-cut ephemera in each pack.

First card with White Embossed 3″x 4″ Memories & More cards +ephemera pack

Card front

1. Card base Misty Moonlight cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm). Long side on top, score at 4 ⅛” (10.5 cm).
2. Front mat layer Basic White 3 ⅝” x 5 ¼” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm). Wrap Bakers Twine round 3 times and secure on back. Adhere to card base.
3. Use blending brush to add a light touch of Misty Moonlight to White embossed 3″x 4″ (7.6 x 10.2 cm) Memories & More card. Apply dimensionals on back and adhere to card front leaving even border on all four sides.
4. Select a circular gold foiled label – stamp greeting in Misty Moonlight ink. Select fluffy foam stickers to embellish. Adhere to embossed piece as pictured.
5. Adhere wreath from ephemera in pack.
6. Select some sequins from Window 10 and adhere as shown.

Inside card

1. Cut a Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm) inside card.
2. Use blending brush to apply a little colour with Misty Moonlight ink.
3. Select ephemera from pack and adhere in bottom right corner.
4. Tie small bow with Bakers Twine and attach with Tombow multipurpose glue or glue dot.

Second card with Double-sided 3″x 4″ Memories & More cards + ephemera pack

Card front

1. Basic White cut at 3 ¼” x 8 ¼” (8.5 cm x 21 cm). Long side on top score at 4 ⅛” (10.5 cm)
2. Select Memories & More 3″x 4″ (7.6 cm x 10.2 cm) card with “Wish you were here” sentiment on scalloped square frame. Use a craft knife and cut round letters and set letters aside.
3. Apply dimensionals on the back and adhere to card front.
4. Select a gold foiled scalloped label and stamp “for someone extra special.
5. Adhere floral ephemera behind label then adhere to Memories & More card.

Card base

1. Cut Basic White card base 4 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (10.5 cm x 14.5 cm)
2. Select another Memories & More card and cut 2 pieces at 1 ¼” x 4″ (3.2 cm x 10.2 cm). Adhere to either side of card base leaving an even border at the bottom, top and side.
3. Trim remaining strip at 3″ (7.6 cm) and adhere to inside of the mini card.
4. Centre and adhere mini card on to card base aligning top and bottom.
5. Adhere “wish you were here” words inside card as pictured.
6. Select ephemera to adhere to inside top right of mini card.
