New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve – let the party begin! What plans do you have? At our age, we’re past the razzle dazzle of night life – been there, done that in our youth. These days we’re lucky if we can stay awake past midnight!

Light of Aurora and Beautiful Butterflies

Today’s card is a clean and simple card. I used the Light of Aurora stamp set and papers which is in the September-December 2025 Mini on page 37. The sentiment is from Beautiful Butterflies which is sadly in the Last Chance Products under specials.

Cutting guide

  1. Card base Petunia Pop cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) and folded in half.
  2. Scrap of Basic White card stock : stamp Time to Celebrate from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. Fussy cut and set aside.
  3. Inside card mat layer : Basic White cut at 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
  4. DSP Lights of Aurora 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) : card front 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
  5. Inside card DSP Lights of Aurora cut at 1” x 5 ½” (2.5 cm x 14 cm).

Assembly

  1. Adhere the larger piece of DSP measuring 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm) on to card front leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
  2. Apply dimensionals on the fussy cut “Time to Celebrate” greeting at the bottom.
  3. Dot glue randomly surrounding greeting (work on small areas at a time so that the glue doesn’t dry) and adhere Itty Bitty bokeh mix.
  4. Add trio of Frosted Iridescent Dots as pictured.

Inside card

  1. Adhere Basic White piece on inside of card and also adhere the remaining narrow strip of DSP to the left as pictured.
  2. Lastly stamp Wishing you a year of Magic in Blackberry Bliss ink.
