Floral landscape card – Paradise Garden. Hello! and welcome to the new March Online Exclusive called Paradise Garden. March online exclusives launched on 3 March and today I chose a floral landscape card with the Paradise Garden bundle which has a lovely hybrid embossing folder. This embossing folder has a die which fits inside the embossing folder so that you can die cut and emboss at the same time. Included with the embossing folder is also a set of dies which correspond with some of the stamped images.

Cutting guide

Card base and piece for embossing folder

1. Card Base – Summer Splash 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm) folded in half.
2. Cut Summer Splash card stock at 4 ½”x 6 ¼” (11.5 cm x 16 cm). Emboss with Paradise Garden Hybrid embossing folder – place large die inside embossing folder and card stock on top of cutting edge of die then run it through the machine sandwiched between Platform 1 and the grey Platform 4.
3. Refer to picture on left above – mark and apply tear n’ tape at 3 ¾” and 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm and 13.7 cm) and cut away the white hashed areas.
4. Inside card – Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm).

Note: The nature of this hybrid embossing folder is that it partially cuts some of the leaves so you can pop it up. If you don’t put tear n’ tape on, when you trim your layer, the leaves will fall out.

Garden Textures Specialty Foil Frame

1. From the Garden Textures 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Foil Shaded Spruce sheet cut a piece measuring 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm).
2. Use a trimmer to cut a ¼” (0.5 cm) frame – this means you can re-purpose the inside for other projects.
3. Die cut a small label from the inside remnant and reserve the rest for future use.

Die cutting

1. On Basic White scrap, stamp and die cut the 2 large, 2 medium and 1 small flower in Berry Burst ink.
2. Stamp sentiment “you are appreciated” on Basic White card stock and die cut with smallest label frame. Using the indentation left by the die, cut along these lines so that the label is a tad smaller than the one die cut from the Garden Textures Specialty foil.

Assembly

1. Adhere the Garden Textures Specialty Foil frame on to card front.
2. Next apply adhesive to back of die cut Hybrid Embossing folder piece on adjacent sides and backing take from opposite adjacent sides and adhere on top of foil frame with an even border on all 4 sides.
3. Glue trimmed sentiment on top of foil label and apply dimensionals on back of foil. Arrange on card front and over lap some of the leaves around sentiment.
4. Next apply adhesive to smallest flower and partially glue on to label as pictured, and the large flower below and lastly the medium flower last.
5. Add Garden Epoxy dots to flowers, and a couple with the tiny epoxy flowers on card front as pictured.
6. Inside card – stamp leaves first with Shaded Spruce ink in bottom right corner.
7. Next adhere stamped and die cut small flower first, then larger one on top.
8. Flip Basic White layer over and trim of excess small flower, then adhere Basic White layer to inside of card base to finish.
