Masculine birthday card

Masculine birthday card. The Ready Set Go stamp set is a stand alone photopolymer stamp set for anyone who loves motor sport, or speed or fast cars. It’s especially great for making masculine birthday cards. There are great images which not only feature racing cars, but also include checkered flags and a traffic cone and some great sentiments.

How I achieved perfect repeat stamping

I was heartbroken when Stampin’ Up! discontinued selling the Stamparatus! Here’s their latest new big thing – the Stampin’ Positioner! I’ve had a play and it’s the bees knees! I used it to create this masculine birthday card with repetitive stamping without re-inking to create the dark to lighter shades of the same image as pictured below.

Cutting guide

  1. Card base : Balmy Blue cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
  2. Basic White : cut 2 pieces 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
  3. Scrap of Basic White : stamp 1st generation Balmy Blue ink with racing card image.

Assembly instructions

  1. Use the Stampin’ Positioner smaller platform to stamp 4 racing car images without re-inking.
  2. Fussy cut the racing car stamped in first generation Balmy Blue ink on the scrap of Basic White card stock. Apply dimensionals on the back and adhere to darkest car at bottom.
  3. Stamp a trio of checkered flags and the sentiment.
  4. Cut some Misty Moonlight checkered ribbon and staple it to top left of card front.
  5. Apply dimensionals on the back and adhere to card front.
  6. On remaining Basic White piece, stamp a variety of flags, cones and checkers in bottom right corner then adhere to inside of card to finish.
