Easter Treat Basket

Easter Treat Basket. Would you believe it…. there is actually a die that will cut out an Easter treat basket in the Easter Basket bundle in the January-April 2026 mini. It’s on page 35 and is part of the Easter Joy Suite collection on pages 34 to 37. There is even a die that will cut little strips for you to weave a basket shaped pattern, a bow, grass, daffodils, rabbits. tulip, egg, carrot – in fact anything that evokes Easter vibes!

Easter Joy Suite

The Easter Joy Suite Collection comprises the Easter Basket Bundle and 2 specialty Designer Series packs of paper and in addition, ribbon and embellishments.

One of the specialty paper packs is Easter Joy 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) which contains 2 sheets each of 6 double sided designs with foil accents on one side and plain on the other. The other specialty pack is Pleasant Patterns 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) consisting of 2 each of 3 single sided designs of foil sheets. Incidentally, both these packs of paper are much thicker than the standard Designer Series paper weight so they are ideal for making paper packaging.

Die cutting baskets

• Pleasant Patterns Specialty DSP – cut 2 baskets
• Crumb Cake card stock – cut 2 baskets
• Adhere one each of Pleasant Pattern and Crumb Cake baskets back to back, and repeat for remaining pair.
• Die cut Bubble Bath strips – you only need 1 strip to weave through both layers of basket for one of the pairs.

The woven one is the front of the basket and the one without will be for the back of the basket.

Grass and scalloped die cut pieces

• After you’ve woven 1 Bubble Bath pink strip, adhere the ends to the Crumb Cake basket.
• Adhere Shy Shamrock grass piece to back of Bubble Bath scallop piece then apply tear n’ tape straddling both.
• Next align remove backing tape on scallop pieces, align edge to edge on front of each basket and adhere as pictured on right.

Internal box template

• Crumb Cake card stock cut at 7 ½” x 3 ½” (19 cm x 9 cm).
• Long side score at 1 ¾”, 3 ½”, 5 ¼” and 7″ (1.4 cm, 9 cm, 13.3 cm, 17.8 cm)
• Short side score at 1 ¾” (4.5 cm).
• Burnish all score lines – cut away rectangle on the bottom ½” (1.3 cm) tab as pictured above and adhere tab to other end of box.
• Seal bottom of box, the two sides on top of each other, then the remaining front and back, leaving the front piece last so that adheres on top of the back piece.
• Adhere back basket piece to back of box.

• Adhere front basket piece to front of box as pictured on left.
• Lastly add some cut up and crumpled tissue paper into basket before filling with easter eggs.
