Mini Easter basket

Mini Easter basket make with the Easter Basket dies. Just another way to use the Easter Basket dies to create a mini Easter basket big enough to hold two little chocolate rabbits! So stinkin’ cute! You can see an unaltered version in a previous post HERE.

  1. Basic White card stock cut at 3 ½” x 4″ (9 cm x 11 cm).
  2. Score all 4 sides at 1″ (2.5 cm). Cut to 1st score line as pictured above, burnish and apply adhesive to 4 corner tabs and adhere to inside of wider panels to create bo.
  3. Cut 4 baskets with Easter Basket dies and cut off handles.
  4. Use die to cut Crumb Cake strips for weaving on two of the basket fronts. Tip: weave 2 strips together from right, under – over – under etc. Push bottom strip to the bottom of the basket, and the other to the top of the basket. Then weave the 3rd piece in the middle over-under-over etc till you reach end. Adhere ends to basket front.
  5. Grass die – cut 2 pieces in Shy Shamrock. Adhere each to respective baskets as pictured.
  6. Adhere remaining basket pieces to back of grass, and basket aligning it with the basket on the front.

Attach to box and finishing touches

  1. Adhere the basket fronts to the White assembled box.
  2. Die cut two DSP scallop pieces to adhere to top of basket on the front and back.
  3. Apply a little adhesive to the middle of the bow die cut from Lemon Lolly card stock and adhere to left of basket front.
  4. Stamp “for you” (by masking part of the greeting “especially for you”) on Lemon Lolly card stock and punch out with the Three Banner punch. Trim and tuck under bow and adhere to front of basket.
  5. Cut up some tissue paper into strips and crumple and line basket. Fill with the miniature chocolate bunnies.
