Good luck card – Help me Grow

Good luck card – Help me Grow. Here’s another card I made with the Help me Grow bundle. This time I wanted to make a “good luck” card, but the words together were too big to fit into the plant tag. Consequently I masked “luck” and stamped “good” on one, and did the reverse to stamp “luck”. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

I also fussy cut a snail from the Cute as a Bug patterned paper to add interest. It wouldn’t be a garden without a gastropod or two and a ladybird would it?

Cutting guide

1. Card base : Basic White Thick 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
2. Cut 2 pieces of Old Olive at 5 ½” x 3 ⅞” (14 cm x 10 cm) one for the card front and the other for the inside of the card.
3. Mixed Up Patterns 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Mix-in DSP : cut at 5 ¼” x 3 ⅝” (13.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
4. Basic White for inside card : 5 ¼” x 3 ⅝” (13.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
5. Cute as a Bug 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP : fussy cut a couple of images to adhere to the front of the card and one for the inside of the card.

Assembling the card

1. Adhere Old Olive mat layer first, followed by DSP.
2. Arrange flower pots, inserting one on top of the other through the slot at the top.
3. Insert “good” tag into top flower pot and the leaves through both pots. Also insert the second tag with “luck” on it. Flip over to the back and secure with tear n’ tape then adhere to card front.
4. Adhere fussy cut snail as shown with dimensionals and remaining leaves around base of flower pot.
5. Finishing touch, add Moody Palette Glossy dots.

Inside card

1. Adhere Old Olive mat layer first.
2. Fussy cut floral element from Cute as a Bug DSP and adhere to bottom left corner of Basic White layer.
3. Adhere Basic White layer on top of Old Olive layer leaving an even border on all 4 sides to finish.
