Convention 2014 Highlights!

This post is picture heavy, so I’ll be brief. So what were my Convention highlights? The company of course! We had so much fun and laughter, and even found time to do shoebox swaps on the train and in our hotel room!

Having Shelli there – she couldn’t make it last year because of her horse-riding accident!

All the Main stage demonstrations, the one pictured below is with the lovely Charlotte Harding from the German office.  There were lots more, but the picture quality was too poor to share on here.

The Display Boards – I couldn’t get any decent pictures as there were so many people of like mind trying to photograph the same thing – being short, all I got were backs of heads and bodies!

Who ever thought of recycling the brown packaging paper in our delivery boxes as dressing for the tree? Can you believe, this entire tree has been dressed with Stampin’ Up! paper ornaments?

In the Home Decor department – here is a complete table setting!  Stunning!

I am constantly amazed by the talent out there – these were some of the 3D items sent in for the Design contest.

Awards night – where Demonstrators walk the stage for their achievements – do you recognize this trio?

The proudest, scream worthy moment was when our fabulous team-mate Elizabeth Shannon got the highest accolade from Shelli  – The Heart of Stampin’ Up! Award!!!!!  Go Liz!!!

Then the party afterwards – this year it was decked out with several sheer tents as seating areas including bar tables, as well as dining tables and chairs.  We were lucky enough to have Pam Morgan visit for a short while.  A pudding buffet – freshly cooked Belgian waffles or crepes, and Belgian chocs galore as well as a live band to boogie to!

There was a booth for taking silly photos too.

Break out Classes with motivational speakers – this one was with our Country Manager, Paula Gorry who invited experienced Demonstrators who had been doing it for 5 years or more to share their tips.

The amazing Demo Booths – here’s Donna Griffith from the Home Office and last but not least…..

Prize Patrol !!  You get given a coloured strip of paper to put round your wrist or landyard and if it matches the one that is picked for a prize patrol – then you win some Stampin’ Up! goodies!!!!  Can you tell by this happy face whether she won or not?

I almost forgot!  These were all the goodies we were given too – our Convention bag, stamp sets, papers, Make & Take packs which you can do while you’re at Convention, or bring them home and do them when you get back, embellishments, and all attendee gifts – the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating Framelits!

I was lucky enough to win a Prize Patrol – the christmas bauble, some blendability pens and a gold tip pen too!

Do you want to join in the fun.. then join me and join Stampin’ Up! Email me elaine.harding@googlemail.com your contact details and I will call you back and answer any questions you have.

  1. Thank you – Dazzling Dreamer Hot Mama!!!! I wanted to use the pic of Shelli putting the necklace on, but it was so out of focus I couldn't use it!
