My youngest grandson turns 3 this week! I love Bring On the Cake set because there are so many birthday greetings you can use on it to suit the mood of the card. For this card I used the above image as you can highlight the appropriate number to suit the age. It also comes with “st”, “nd”, “rd” and “th” at the bottom right of the image. So for this card, I highlighted the “3” and “rd” which I stamped in Island Indigo then for the “rd” I stamped on scrap and punched it out with a 1/4″ circle punch and adhered it with a dimensional. The truck and dirt track are from I Dig You.
I was so cross with myself, having carefully assembled the layers, I then discovered that I had stamped the sentiment in the bottom layer upside down! There’s always a way round it – so I simply stamped it again on a piece of scrap, punched it out with the decorative label punch, inked the edges and glued it the right way up so as to salvage the card! Not content with having made one mistake, I then glued this layer upside down on the top half of the card! To rectify this, I then had to add another layer with Ethan’s name on it to cover up the tell-tale glue marks! (The letters are from the Morning Post Alphabet.) Show’s I’m human! We ALL make mistakes, but we can just change direction and all will be well again and no-one would’ve been any the wiser that this was not how it was meant to be originally! hehe!
Thanks for stopping by.
