Hello September! Can you believe it? The long school holiday is drawing to a close and it will soon be the start of another academic year for the kiddos!
It also heralds the forthcoming 2019 Autumn/Winter catalogue so I’m going to give you a sneak peek!
Do you love penguins? Take a peek at this adorable pair. I love the font on it too. I’m not allowed to show you what’s inside the catalogue yet, but I’m thrilled that Stampin’ Up! always incorporates sentiments in the set which can be used for other occasions and not just the festive season.
I’ve also used some new accents with “Shimmery Crystal Effects” and “Ice Stampin’ Glitter” but you’ll have to squint to look at it because the photo doesn’t do it justice. You can just about make it out on the hat and on the head of the penguin on the left. I also put some on the “ground” where the splotches of blue are. Below the left hand side of the sentiment I also used the new Snowflake sequins which are on page 43 of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue. On the left, I added a strip of “Feels Like Frost” 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) – they are gorgeous! One side has photographic imagery and the other side has hand drawn designs with silver foil as shown in the above picture. I coloured tiny pearls with Basic Black Stampin’ Blends for the eyes on the card front and stamped the penguins in Basic Gray to give it a softer look, rather than in Basic Black.
