Papillon Potpourri

I repeated this technique of colouring silver glimmer paper for my card ladies this month – I did this technique with Technique club last month, but didn’t make a card with them as they did the chalkboard one instead.

Stamping the butterflies strategically on the edge of the card front means that you can cut round the contours of the butterflies to create this interesting effect on the edge of your cardstock.

What seems to be in trend at the moment are cards with alot of white space.  I prefer clean and simple cards (CAS)  and am a firm believer that less is more.  If you do clean and simple, it means when you stamp, your images have to be crisp and clear – no smudges and much more accurate as the focus is on the little that you do stamp.

The new Needlepoint embossing folder in the SS catalogue on page 5 just broke up the white space a little without detracting from the stamped images.

The sentiment is from a set in the Annual Catalogue on page 44 called “Made for You”.
