A big “Thank You” to my lovely Hostess Leigh for a wonderful evening last weekend with her friends from Surbiton, Chessington and even a friend from Norwich! Here is the card I demonstrated and the little customised gift I made her. The stamp set I used was Little Friends – stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Black Stazon ink then coloured in with 2011-13 In Color Markers, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. The pale blue layer is Pool Party, and I used Confetti (page 123AC) for the background.
The customised envelop was cut 7″ square and scored at 3 1/4″ on the Simply Scored diagonal plate all round to create an envelop for the card.
Do you want to see inside the box? I made a little pendant (squashed soda cap), pierced a hole in the top, attached a jump ring and threaded black taffeta ribbon through it to create this pendant. Her initial “L” is from Lovely Letters, black embossed on First Edition Specialty paper so that it wouldn’t bleed, then adhered onto the squashed soda pop top and flooded with crystal effects to preserve it. I clipped a key charm (no longer available) to the ribbon and voila – a fun piece of jewellery to wear!
