Sunday’s Artisan Embellishment Kit

Are you sitting comfortably?  I have more than the usual amount to share with you today.  Here goes………..

As Valentine’s Day is round the corner, I’ve made a scrapbook page using the Artisan Embellishment Kit (page 10 SS).  The lace is all featured on this page as are some of the resin embellishments.    The paper is More Amore Specialty DSP.  This paper is so pretty I used the whole page as it was because it bore a lovely sentiment in the bottom right corner.   I embossed the Raspberry Ripple strip with the Needlepoint Border embossing folder (page 5 SS). and tucked it behind the mini page.

I cut a 6″ x 6″ Raspberry Ripple Core-dinations card stock.  It is textured on one side and smooth-ish on the other side.  I used the more textured side and sanded it  to give it a vintage look especially all round the edges of the card stock – where it has been sanded, it appears much lighter.  I cut a mat in Crumb Cake for the photo, the Very Vanilla card stock was adhered in lieu of a photo which can be dropped in at some other time.

Here’s a close up of the detail.  I used Hearts a Flutter framelit dies to cut the coordinating banners from the corresponding stamp set of the same name – it is available both in wood mount or clear mount.  The inks I used to stamp the banners with were Raspberry Ripple and Basic Gray (for my Anglo Saxon readers – no I haven’t spelt it wrong, it’s the American spelling as listed in the AC).  The third tag was cut with the More Amore Specialty DSP.

For my second offering I’ve made a card using up the scallop lace from the kit.  I overlaid on a strip of Island Indigo to make the lace pop.  I cut a piece of Pool Party Core-dinations and partially embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder.  I embossed  the DSP from the Amore Specialty DSP pack, and then cut out hexagons which I adhered randomly.    I sanded the Pool Party Core-dinations card stock to distress it, then matted on to Basic Gray, Pool Party and Island Indigo.  “I Love you” is from Cross My Heart (p 26 SS).  For added texture, I used one of the metallic buttons from the Kit.

The third project is another Valentine card but with a more masculine feel.  The card base is in Very Vanilla, I cut out a label framelit and sponged the edges in Real Red.  Two of the other heart images were stamped, but it has been obscured by the larger heart which was stamped in Basic Gray and cut out with the Hearts a Flutter framelits.  I cut Fashionable Hearts embosslits out of Real Red Glimmer paper and also used the Hearts a Flutter framelits to cut the smaller heart in the middle of the lacy heart and adhered them as shown.  The “I love you” was raised on dimensionals and straddles the Real Red stitched grosgrain ribbon.  The basic gray layer was embossed with the Argyle embossing folder.  I attached the Pool Party button from the kit and used a rhinestone to cover up the holes on the button.

I’ve still got lots left over to embellish other projects with, no doubt they’ll appear elsewhere some time in the future.

Well, that’s all for today.  By the time you read this, I should be happily crafting away at an all day crop in Aldershot.  I’m really looking forward to some “me” time!

Thanks for visiting!  Enjoy your weekend or what’s left of it!

Hugs!
