Another week gone by and I still haven’t really had time to blog. This was one of the samples I’d made for a workshop last Thursday which I just had to share. I’ve made these tri-shutter albums before, but haven’t posted and this is an updated version based on Andrea Walford’s original with the Holly Berry Specialty DSP which is scrumptious IRL. The stamp set I used is Pines & Pointsettias – I love the christmas banner.
When you open it up this is what it looks like – I also used the A La Carte stamp “Something for Christmas” which I used on the panels as well as “Welcome Christmas”.
This is a better view of it opened. The Chocolate Chip panels are all ready for photos to be dropped in.
Some other news but not craft related – I still have Mum staying with me from Australia. She’s been spoiling me cooking all the food we loved growing up, literally taking the heat out of the kitchen and an absolute treasure while I’ve been busy with Stampin’ Up! she’s looked after all of us including spring cleaning the house as she cannot sit idle even though she’s an octogenarian!
The house has never had so many people staying over – I counted 7 extra bodies at one time, whilst for the most part we muddle along as Derby & Joan! My baby girl went home with her brood last week only to discover she contracted chicken pox (never knew you could catch it more than once) – she had a really bad case whilst in Australia age 10.
Our son and his clan are descending on us for bonfire night – forecast is rain so I hope the fireworks won’t be rained off. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Have a great weekend.
Stunning card Elaine,I love it. Hope you have fun on Bonfire night with your family.
