Good day everyone! I can’t believe how fast the time is flying by – half way through the year and it only seemed like yesterday when we were heralding in the New Year for 2019!!! Last weekend was Father’s Day …..
…and I was pleased that hubby didn’t go to Archery on the Sunday like he usually does, and chose to spend it with me. We went back to RHS Wisley to see the newly opened refurbishment and it is stunning.
They had an exhibition of sculptures – alot of them by Henry Moore – this is called “Sheep Piece” circa 1971-1972 which is on loan from the Henry Moore foundation. I hope you had a lovely day too last Sunday. I digress so back to a bit of crafting.
This is another project I made for the Display at Team Training in June – something for the home. All the cards I make usually get sent away for other people to enjoy, and I never see them again. This way all the toil and love that goes into a piece gets preserved and I get to keep it for a while at least until the frame is recycled and another project replaces it in due course.
I had been waiting for the embossing folders to arrive – they had been on back order for some time, so when they arrived 2 days before the meeting, I set to and created this to add to the projects I’d already done!
The new 3D embossing folders are thinner than the old dynamic ones we used to have. If you have the special embossing mats from last year’s catalogue, the new embossing folders will work with just the basic platform, the grey rubber mat, new 3D folder with cardstock inside embossing folder, acrylic plate, and that produces a nice deep impression – the grey rubber mat does slip a little, but as an interim measure it will do the job nicely until the proper one is available for sale.
