As promised, here are the other photos of the pages in my Father’s Day gift album. On the front cover, I titled it “Grandpa’s Brag Book”. The papers I used are Stampin’ Up!’s Love Letter DSP (page 89 in the main idea book & catalogue). The letters were die cut from the Timeless Junior Alphabet set, medium sizzlet dies in the mini. I made 4 pockets, one for a suit, a golfing vest (houndstooth pattern), a casual jeans with a red check shirt and Bashful Blue roll neck top, and lastly a T-shirt and track bottom pants.
I used all sorts of techniques – for the belt on the suit, I made a mock crock textured background, on the jeans belt, I ran the strips through the Big Shot with the square lattice embossing folder and on the track suit bottoms, I distressed the paper so that it would peel apart to make this faux suede look. On the neck line of the sweater for the last page, I crimped a strip of card stock in Sahara Sands several times then teased it to fit round neck, taking care to only adhere the top rim so that the bottom bit of the neckline would still be able to catch on to the pocket and hold it shut. I used this technique on the Bashful Blue roll neck jumper too. For the golfing (houndstooth pattern) vest, I added an extra layer so you could flip up that page to reveal more photos or journaling and did the same for the PNH#1 star page. Both these tuck into the pants pocket. It took ages to make, especially since I had to play around with the measurements to see how it would work – a real labour of love!
