Good morning everyone, or should I say G’Day depending on which part of the world you’re from and when you visit! 😉 I thought this would be a quick card – but it took me longer than I expected. I dug out my patchwork quilt book and copied the pattern to make this background which I then ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder. The Springtime Vintage papers resemble patchwork swatches so it lent itself to being “quilted”! Again, using my favourite medium, I stamped the images from Sew Lovely with Black Stazon on to watercolour paper and set to with the markers and aquapainter for the sewing machine and pin cushion. I also stamped the tape measure image on to Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon and faux ruched, really to hide wonky placement of the squares and finished off with a little handmade tag “for you” from Occasional Greetings. Hope you like it. I must dash – late for my appointment – have to travel to Bromley which is an hour and a quarter away!
Great card Elaine, brilliant idea to make a patchwork quilt out of papers. I love it.
