These are the swaps I made for the Regional Training today at the Solent Hotel & Spa in Whitely. I think I can safely share now that I know everyone is at the meeting! This is a close up of it. I needed something quick and easy to replicate – fresh from having done all those thank you cards for visitors at the Brighton show and having to churn out several dozen more for swaps, I feel crafting overload! I created a watermark effect by stamping randomly four ornate flowers in Crumb cake, drew a linefree hand approximately a 1/4″ from the edge all round to frame it, used the rock & roll technique with the same image stamped on Whisper White cardstock, applied glue to the centre of the flower and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds then cut out each flower and adhered with a dimensional to card base in bottom right hand corner. I didn’t want to contaminate my marker pen, so actually wiped off the Daffodil Delight ink from where the Cherry Cobbler ink is before applying the colour to it. For the “leaves”, I snipped short lengths of Pear Pizzaz polytwill and adhered with glue dots. Here is the recipe. Stamps: Always Elegant, Ornate Flowers Ink: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler ink pads, Cherry Cobbler marker Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White Accessories: Modern Label and Small Oval punches, two-way glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds. Rhinestone, Pear Pizzas polytwill, glue dots
