Inspiring Inkin’ Quarterly Team Meeting, January 2011

The lovely Michelle Last pictured above (borrowed her avatar from her blog), UK’s No#1 Top Demonstrator was our Guest Speaker at our upline Amanda’s Inspiring Inkin’s Team Members and Honorary Inkee’s Quarterly Meeting on Saturday! We had such a blast and Michelle graciously gave us tips on recruiting and spoke about her Stampin’ Up! journey. Thank you Michelle! As usual, Amanda’s terrific organisational skills and planning made for a jam packed day. In total three 3D items, 3 cards and learning a new technique for a faux wood effect. In addition, there were 4 Inspiration Stations {Team members are invited, encouraged sometimes coerced 😉 wink and smile} and are always rewarded with a bag of goodies for their time and effort in creating a variety of cards, 3D projects, Hostess Gift or Scrapbook pages with one particular stamp set at these stations. It was my turn this time, and the set I chose to showcase for my Inspiration Station was “Bliss”. I made a box to contain the cards and a gift bag also. These were some of the other items in my display. The Fantasy Keepsake Box, sometimes called a Stepper Box, was originally developed by Andy Wright of Stubby Stampers but has since done the rounds worldwide in varying sizes. The one depicted here are the original measurements. On the top left of the picture is an altered 5″x5″ art journal – I’ve stamped glossy card stock, stamped images in versamark and then brayered in Marina Mist until I was happy with the colour intensity. It dries really quickly. The finishing touches were accessories from 111325 Hodgepodge Hardware, 119247 Basic Pearls, 119772 Marina Mist 1 1/4″ striped grosgrain, Tiny Tags stamp set, 118091 wood or 118592 clear, and last but not least the jewelry tag punch 117190. The back cover was also brayered glossy card stock using the same technique, and the inside of both front and back covers were covered in co-ordinating DSP from the DSP Subtle stack. This last project was a basket I made in Chocolate Chip for my strawberries which were what I made for my swaps – more of that in another post! Whew – that was a long post! Thanks for visiting.
