Here’s the one I designed for the Shoe Box swap. It uses the Polka dot background stamp with Versamark and A Good Egg stamp set. The chick image was stamped twice on Whisper white, and I reserved one to cut up as desired for inside bottom right of card. The “shell” was stamped twice on DSP and cut out to adhere with dimensionals as illustrated above. I used watercolour crayons for colouring and blended with blender pen. The edges of the sentiment were sponged in Sage Shadow. I added a length of pink gingham ribbon shaped into a bow and held together with a brad which was then attached to the bottom left corner of the matted image. When prepping for a workshop, this saves time and you also control the amount of ribbon used and therefore reduces waste.
For the inside of the card, I adhered the “happy easter” sentiment and coloured and adhered the other chick to fit in the bottom right hand corner. I stamped the corner of the card with the chick image first in Black Stazon ink as it’s a bit fiddly to cut round his tuft of “hair”and trimmed the coloured image without his hair then adhered on top of the Black Stazon image.
