This year Demonstrators were able to purchase a Level 2 and a Level 3 Hostess set. It was to enable us to showcase the wonderful cards you can make with these images. Hostess sets can only be earned through booking a workshop. Not only could you earn this stamp set through booking workshop with me, but you can earn free merchandise too! Tempted? Get in touch, post mark me with your contact details and I will show you how!
The following cards and the one above from the Level 3 Hostess set were the ones I had to get ready for my Hostess Event on Sunday to show the ladies. I had so little time to get things ready for the day so I had no time to re-do this card. Please excuse the smudge.
I stamped on all the images with Black Stazon ink on Whisper White card stock and coloured images with SU water colour crayons with either an aqua brush or blender pen. The sentiment is from the Happy Everything set. (card above) .
Certainly Celery is amongst my favourite to use. This image was stamped in Black Stazon as are all the images for this post and SU watercolour crayons were used to colour the various cocktails. It was then matted on to Certainly Celery and the sentiment “Celebrate” from the Wonderful Words set was used.
Watercolour crayons were used to colour this image, matted on to Tempting Turquoise then using the pricking mat and tool, 3 rows of holes were made as a feature on the right. A Tempting Turquoise ribbon was added and the sentiment from Seasonal Wishes (retired) was stamped in the bottom right hand corner.
The mushrooms were coloured with an aqua brush – by squishing the lid of the SU Ink pad, some ink from the ink pad transfers on to the lid. You use ink on the lid as a palette to load the aqua brush with colour and colour your image as normal. The coloured stamped image was matted on to Real Red, a length of Whisper White grosgrain ribbon tied round it and adhered to the base card. A gap was left and sentiment was stamped in the gap. I used the Scallop Edge punch on the edge of another piece of Real Red card stock which was pricked then adhered beneath sentiment to complete card.
I went totally pink with this stamp of coffee cups using the pink range from the Watercolour Crayons and a marker for the darker bits. I matted onto Pixie Pink, tied pink gingham ribbon round it and matted on to Whisper White card. “Thank You” is from the Wonderful Words stamp set.
As these were samples, they were only made as card fronts. The designs were kept simple and each one took about 10-15 minutes to complete.
