Greetings Eight, Dry Embossing

A star for my Star! It’s brilliant news – my downline has just become a Stampin’ Up! Mummy! I’m thrilled for her and wanted to congratulate her for achieving this with this card. She is an extremely talented crafter and very experienced, often having to come up with original designs as she works freelance as a designer. I’m very lucky to have her as part of the team.

I went right back to basics, 8″ x 4″ Whisper White folded in half. A strip of DSP from Junior Varsity adhered to the inside of card, so that it would show through. I drew a pinking edge on the top of card and cut this to create a pinked edge. I dry embossed a square and dots all round square (unfortunately you can’t see this very clearly in the picture), embossed the Congratulations stamp from Greetings Eight in Silver, dry embossed the star in Bashful Blue and punched out with large star punch, raised it on dimensionals and adhered to card. Finished with Bashful Blue striped grosgrain ribbon. It’s a simple card. Hope she likes it.

This is a close up of the dry embossed star. I love its simplicity and it really looks effective, just on its own.
