Some time ago, I used rub-ons on my soap dispenser to make it more visible as both the dispenser and my worktop was black, I couldn’t see it! Well, you can use it to embellish a card too!
My card “topper” was Real Red, cut a tad smaller than the base card in Whisper White. Instead of stamping, I used the Cherished Memories Rub-Ons which are ideally suited to a scrapbook page but I also think it looks good on a card. I’ve used the rub-on wording “thank you” which was transferred on to a scrap piece of Real Red card stock, punched out with the large oval punch and then matted on to Whisper White oval scallop. I then used a white gel pen and went all round the edges with small dots then added some white grosgrain ribbon and threaded some pearls and crystals with spacers on a hat pin from the Pretties Kit and attached through the knot in ribbon to finish off. To add a bit of interest, I scalloped the right hand edge of the Real Red card top and this was adhered to the Whisper White base card.
A close up of the rub on, and I used a half “pearl” for the centre of the flower to add some extra “bling”. This was such a quick and easy card to do. I’m supposed to be tidying up my craft room, but I got side tracked (as you do…. lol). Hope you like it!
