I had some left over paper from the Petal Party Simply Scrappin’ kit and decided to do a tri- shutter card with it. I made the fatal mistake of looking in my reading list and Carrie who is a member of my Technique Club and super talented had just made one. So this got my creative juices flowing. Needless to say, sleep eluded me after that, so I just had to get up and do the card so I could get some shut-eye! I used the Best Wishes & More stamp set, Old Olive, Pixie Pink and Really Rust ink pads, stamped all the images, cut them out and raised them on dimensionals before adhering to card. You need a 12 x 5.5″ piece of card stock, score at 2,4, 8 and 10″ with the long side horizontally orientated. Turn card 90 degrees so the long side is now to left and right. Measure 1.5″ in and cut from 2″ score line to 10″ score line. Do the same for other side. Then it’s just a question of folding mountain and valley folds according to the photo above. After that, cut out pieces of DSP slightly smaller than each panel and decorate as desired. I made a little tag as there was nowhere to add a message or signature because the paper is so heavily patterned.
This is a view of the card laid out more or less flat, although it is upright for photography purposes! You can see the banners I did more clearly. The card does fold and pack away neatly into a standard envelope.
Love, Love, Love it! LOL at you staying up half the night – looks fab though!! So easy too.
Love this – going to make one today!!
LOL, know the feeling, when the idea flow, sleep is just not an option, you just have to get up and create…. beautiful card, will have a bash at one of these!
