This is one of the techniques the ladies were shown on Thursday. I love the watermark effect versamark gives. I like its subtlety. “Bloom” and its definition were stamped in versamark.
Instead of tying the customary knot, I thought punching six holes and weaving the Elegant Eggplant ribbon would make a nice change. The long stem floral image from Bloomin’ with Beauty was stamped with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. By embossing, it contains the bleach to within the embossed image and doesn’t “bleed”. Bleach was painted on in concentrated form with a fine tip brush and allowed to dry. It was fascinating watching the colour of the parts that were bleached, change. The leaves had gone completely white, so they were coloured in with Old Olive marker. The bloom was left to dry on its own and came out in different hues of lilac fading into plum.
The bees were stamped with black Stazon, coloured in with Pumpkin Pie marker, and tombow was applied to the wings and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds and then cut out and adhered with dimensionals.
This is what the inside looks like underneath the woven grosgrain ribbon.
The ladies concentrating and working hard…..
and made to smile for the camera…….
Say “Cheese” Anita!
Thanks Elaine, I was happily concentrating on what i was doing!
