A Sneak Peek!!! More new Sale-a-bration items coming soon!

Happy Sunday!

Where did February go?  March is the last month of Sale-a-bration with just 30 days left, excluding today.

The second release new Sale-a-bration choices launches on 3 March and of course I’ve already scheduled a blogpost featuring some videos Stampin’ Up! have made as well as their card samples.

I’m sharing a sneak peek at one of the new free items you can choose!    This is a card I made for one of my team who celebrated her 9th year as a Demonstrator.

Don’t you just love these gorgeous vellum card stocks which come in a pack of  6 sheets,  2 each of 3 colours and here’s one of them – Purple Posy.

I was inspired by the samples in the 2nd release brochure – a stamp set and dies in the Annual Catalogue which hasn’t seen the light of day for months so of course, it’s good to revisit “old” friends.

The Vellum has an embossed pattern on it, (raised dots) and I wanted the pattern rotated to a 45o angle.  It seemed wasteful, but do pop back next week to see how I used the rest of the sheet with all the left overs.

With Vellum being opaque, sometimes the adhesive to adhere it to your project can be visible, so I counteracted this problem by adding Gorgeous Grape 1/4″ striped ribbon to hide it.  I stamped and coloured  the floral image with stampin’ blends and embellished with the glitter enamel dots.

Here’s another faux pas which got covered up by adding a stamped large oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies….. never a mistake, just an embellishment opportunity!

A 2″ strip by the width of the card of 2019-2021 In colour DSP – short side on top, scored at 1″, was adhered on the fold as shown which helped hide the wrap over from the vellum card stock too. I will add the links to the supply list once the 2nd release item launches .on 3 March. Enjoy your weekend, or what’s left of it!!!  Thanks for popping by!
