Remember the rage with loom rubber bands? You could make all kinds of bracelets with them and my grandsons went through a phase when they were really expert at making them. They’ve grown out of it now but I’ve still got a box leftover full of these loom bands and I’ve found an alternative use for them! In fact it is the secret “ingredient” in today’s project! Boxes which jump out when you slide the matchbox open and it gives the recipient a lovely surprise, especially if you put confetti in each layer!
I had such fun making these, originally inspired by a Japanese artist I saw on Pinterest. My original was made with Broadway papers which has since retired, but the stamps and dies are currently in the Last Chance Product sale. It’s difficult to explain in words, so here’s a video on how I made it.
By the way, I film my videos a few weeks ahead and now that I’m at my new website, the url address that appears in the top right corner of the screen is no longer valid. My apologies for the oversight.
