Witty-cisms – Looking Sharp

What do you do with a Saguaro cactus? They’re prickly and not exactly pretty looking plants. They grow in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona where we saw them up close and personal and only then did I appreciate that these tree like cacti can grow up to 40 ft in height, or more and are extremely slow growing (1.5 inches a year on average)! So when you see a forest of them, you can marvel at just how ancient they are.

This Witty-cisms stamp set is about to retire. “Lookin’ SHARP” made me giggle, so how to convert it into a card? Stamp loads of them, of course and then highlight one of them in a different colour to stand out.

I used the Simple Stripe embossing folder (which is still available in the Clearance rack) on a strip of Crumb Cake card stock and adhered it behind the cacti to make it pop and to finish the card, I added some Granny Apple Green ribbon – also retiring, as are the glimmer enamel dots.

Sadly, for me, I had a text from the NHS that I still have to Stay At Home until 30 June when it will be reviewed.
