Pyramid Card – Mr & Mrs

This is another card we made, inspired by my lovely Team Mate Sam

To make this card you need 3 pieces of coordinating card stock cut 4″ x 4″ and score diagonally opposite corner to opposite corner. I used Bashful Blue, Taken with Teal and Green Galore card stock.

Begin by placing the darkest colour (mine is Taken with Teal) in the centre with the score line oriented vertically. Overlap Green Galore on top as shown in photo, then overlap Taken with Teal on top of Bashful Blue. Cut 2 triangles of coordinating DSP – I used Rainbow Sherbet, from 3.5″x 3.5″ square and adhere to Green Galore and Bashful Blue as in photo on exposed sides of pyramid.

This is the tricky bit. When you fold the card along the score lines, this will resemble a pyramid. On the last flap, make a pencil mark at the bottom of the triangle about 1 cm  up from bottom edge and 4.5 cm in on the right hand side (where the fold is) as illustrated. Cut a slot parallel to the left edge of the square right up to the score line and tuck in flap.

I inked the floral motif from “Mr & Mrs” stamp set with Taken with Teal ink and stamped on to a piece of Whisper White card stock scrap and adhere this to the centre panel. I then inked the sentiment from “Ovals All” in Taken with Teal ink and stamped on to Glorious Green card stock and the image was punched out with a Scallop Oval punch and adhered to the bottom of the “Mr & Mrs” floral image.
