I struggled with this one as we were not allowed to use the traditional red or green for a christmas card. In the end I chose a night scene using Lovely as a Tree, Winter Post and Best Yet stamp sets.
I used a masking technique for the moon and skaters and left the foreground in white, masking that too while I sponged the sky in Not Quite Navy. I used versamark for the trees and embossed with silver embossing powder, applied some tombow on the branches, grass and field and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds. I matted onto Not Quite Navy, attached bow in White Taffeta, adhered to base card in Bashful Blue and lastly added the sentiment from Best Yet, punched out with large oval punch and raised on dimensionals on Not Quite Navy scalloped oval.
I love this scene Elaine and the sparkly trees look so effective against the dark sky.
