Inspiring Inkin Challenge #10 Theme – Children’s card

This fortnight’s challenge was to make a themed card – any occasion children’s card with an animal.

I stamped the Canvas background stamp on front and back of a normal size card in Pretty in Pink. The Close to Cocoa and Pretty in Pink matts were torn to give a grungy look. Pretty in Pink taffeta ribbon was added before adhering layers to base card as well as the 3 brads in top right corner. I stamped all images on Whisper white and carefully trimmed leaving a thin white border all round images. These were then arranged and adhered to card. Some were raised on dimensionals to give more depth. The sentiment “wild about you” was stamped in versamark then embossed in white. I cut a word window at the bottom right and stamped “happy birthday” on the inside. Tiny drop of tombow was applied to centre of each flower, followed with a generous sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds which I then coloured with a marker once it was dry.

Stamps:Wild About You, A Bit of Birthday Cheer

Inks:Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Stampin’ Write Markers

Papers:Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa

Accessories:Brads, Dazzling Diamonds, Tombow, craft knife, snips, dimensionals, snail, Pretty in pink Taffeta ribbon, SU marker pens
